A compact add-in application gives you direct access to data on our server from within Excel. With this installed your online PC becomes a powerful data-mining tool. RIMES’ zoom and pan architecture makes data access simple. Whether you want to drill down to a single item or aggregate multiple universes you can view and manipulate financial data at will.

Strong relationships with leading data vendors allow us to offer comprehensive financial coverage. Users can view, query and download a full range of market data – from historical pricing and reference data to economics data and company fundamentals. You can query multiple data sources using common identifiers (SEDOL, CUSIP, ISIN etc). The add-in equips Excel with advanced data retrieval capabilities. Multiple time-series can be extracted to spreadsheet using a few basic parameters. For occasional users, the Query Wizard feature constructs user queries step-by-step.
The RIMES add-in allows publishable charts, custom baskets and indices, filtered portfolio reporting on proprietary data sets – indeed, almost anything that relies on historical data – to be generated in Excel. Series can be specified in a highly flexible way. Multiple data sources, symbols and items can form part of the same query.
Hosted calculations
If you are accessing your data via Excel you can elect to have RIMES web-based servers perform a wide range of calculations before downloading. This can significantly reduce the complexity of your Excel spreadsheets. For instance, correlating hundreds of time-series is very data-intensive in Excel. RIMES can perform intermediate calculations on its powerful servers. Customers can use calculated data to produce simpler Excel spreadsheets and make informed decisions more rapidly.
Hosted calculations can also enhance the reliability of Excel analysis. RIMES server calculations replace Excel programming with well-supported, documented algorithms.
