The Worldscope database offers delivery of fundamental information in a standardised format that minimises differences in accounting terminology, financial statement format, currency and language.

Coverage includes 25+ years of historical information on over 43,000 public companies, as well as on a number of notable private companies. More than 96 per cent of the world’s market value is represented, with coverage ranging across more than 60 developed and emerging countries. This database also contains historical data on over 10000 “extinct” companies that are no longer publicly traded.

Worldscope database inclusion is predicated on criteria such as benchmark index membership, market capitalisation, and I/B/E/S International estimates coverage. Worldscope database applications include portfolio construction, global competitive analysis, and evaluation of the efficiency of capital markets.

Securities are identified by name, CUSIP, SEDOL, REUTERS code, and ticker where available. The exchange of company listing, industry classification, product segment, relevant SIC, ISO, and ISIN codes are also provided. Fundamental information is updated daily. Pricing information is updated weekly
