Perl/Database Programmer

Location: London

Department: Information Technology

Description:

RIMES (www.rimes.com) is an internet based provider of financial data and flexible applications. We have full-time openings for Perl Programmers and Database Programmers.

RIMES projects run the gamut from web development, database administration, data development, data mining and sophisticated financial analysis. Our hands-off management style encourages prospective developers to take initiative to complete projects, managing multiple tasks, as well as setting their own individual day-to-day priorities.

In its friendly yet professional atmosphere, RIMES has a wide variety of projects to work on.

Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to University degree level or equivalent
  • Strong programming skills
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages, preferably Perl
  • Experience in relational database management 
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Highly Desired:

  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Creative – willing to think outside of the box 
  • Enjoy working in supportive team environment 
  • Willingness to work under demanding time schedules 
  • Ideally, you will also have worked on a large-scale project, either in an academic context or on your own. You should also feel comfortable working on multiple projects and with setting priorities.
