Description:

RIMES (www.rimes.com) is an internet based provider of financial data and flexible applications. We are currently looking for a Developer to join our team in the NY office.

As a developer in the RIMES Data Technology group, you will build and operate data acquisition, custom analytics and reporting processes. You will share responsibility for developing and improving processes to ensure data quality. You will share ownership of projects, clarify requirements, identify and resolve design issues, drive projects to completion, and contribute to an open and cooperative team environment. Ideally, you will bring your experience with large-scale numerical data collection, financial market data processing and software design to the team, along with resourcefulness and a sense of humor.

Responsibilities:

• Software analysis, design and programming
• Requirements analysis and specification

Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years experience, OR
• Self-directed projects

Important:

• Perl, SQL, MS Windows
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Solution design skills
• Works independently, results driven & detail oriented
• Flexible and efficient at multitasking assignments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desirable:

• C, C++, XML, HTML
• MS Excel® and MS Office®
• Knowledge of financial markets, products and data
