Content & Permissions:

The Content & Permissions team acts as the gatekeeper for all third-party communications with RIMES’ 370 information providers on behalf of our 350 end clients. The team manages key relationships with a huge and varied international group of information providers.

The Permissions Officer’s role is vital to the RIMES infrastructure, they ensure that RIMES’ end clients have the appropriate levels of authorization to access the data that they require. The Permissions Officer is responsible for documenting and recording all requests for data access, connecting with the information owners to seek written confirmation to release data onwards to the end client, whilst ensuring that RIMES remains in compliance with its contractual obligations to the information owner. During this process it is the Permissions Officer’s responsibility to ensure that RIMES’ clients are kept informed on the progress of the authorization request, and that access to the data is granted in a timely manner.

The role requires a friendly, approachable person with strong communication skills, someone who can convey the requests in a professional business manner to an international base of information providers. The candidate must demonstrate a degree of understanding of the initial request and be capable of asking for additional information from the requestor, or escalating internally, before engagement with the third-party, as and when this is needed.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Management of third-party data provider’s authorization requests on behalf of our clients. Ensuring all requests are actioned and recorded in an accurate and timely fashion through a ticketing system
  • Understanding the nature of the authorization request, responding and managing any third-party data provider’s questions, escalating when and where needed
  • To send accurate and timely usage reports to our third-party providers, ensuring that all reports are sent within the set deadlines each month or quarter. Provide guidance & assistances to all partners on any usage questions that may arise from these reports
  • Management and creation of client IDs through RIMES’ proprietary tool sets. Unlocking user accounts and resetting passwords
  • Maintaining a strong working relationship keeping RIMES on good standings with our third-party information providers
  • Assist in maintaining, updating and improving our third-party partner contact records, redistribution policies and important notes
  • Suggesting improvements to and maintain of our internal knowledge base of procedures
  • Documenting and storing of contractual information
  • To work on new and innovative projects and applying best practices across the group

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

  • High proficiency with MS Excel
  • Computer literacy
  • An ability to work to deadlines
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy while working quickly….
  • Good attention to detail
  • Have effective analytical and problem-solving skills

Also useful:

  • Familiarity of navigating CRM systems such as NetSuite.
  • Knowledge and understanding of equity and fixed income indices
  • Sound working knowledge of financial spreadsheets and financial databases and applications
