The Australia Core Open End Fund Monthly Index (ACOE) measures net asset value based performance of non-listed open end real estate funds with a core strategy in Australia. These returns, which are net of all fees and other costs, represent the aggregate investor return. Gross returns are published on a quarterly basis and are only available at the aggregate level of sector indices.
The Index includes the performance of “All funds” as well as a sector index and individual performance of the funds, illustrating a high level of transparency in the Australian market. Historical data starts in January 2005 and ANREV targets to collect data since fund’s inception going forward. The ACOE fund index is time weighted index based on accrual income returns which means that distributions are accounted for but not necessarily distributed or paid out.
