The series allows investors to track by market capitalisation, sector and investment strategies such as Equally Weighting. The FTSE/JSE Africa Index Series launched in 2002. The indices are used for benchmarking, creation of financial products and market analysis. The series is reviewed on a quarterly basis (Mar, Jun, Sep, Dec) and is overseen by an independent advisory committee. The headline indices include the FTSE/JSE Africa Top 40, FTSE/JSE All-Share and FTSE/JSE Africa.
