The Institut of Épargne Immobilière et Foncière is an independent research organization that offers a unique position in France where real estate and investment professionals can exchange views, share data and gain insight. IEIF’s objective is to provide information, analyses and forecasts, while fostering new ideas for the real estate industry. The IEIF Indices include listed real estate companies in France and Europe, focusing on companies with tax transparency (in English and French). Eligible stocks include property companies listed on European regulated markets that have opted for a tax-transparency regime (REIT structure). Weighting is based on Free Float adjusted market capitalization and the Free Float is rounded up to the next multiple of 5 percent with capping at 15 percent. Constituents are selected among property companies listed on European regulated markets whose market capitalization is over 350 million euros, with a minimum free-float of 20%. The index family is split in two sub-indices, the IEIF Eurozone Index, which contains stocks whose currency is the euro, and the IEIF Europe Continentale Index, which contains Continental European stocks regardless of the current national currency.
