Third award win in 2014 further highlights RIMES’ commitment to delivering excellence in data management and governance solutions.
RIMES, the leading provider of managed data services for the buy-side, today announced winning “Best Buy-Side EDM Platform” at the 2014 Data Management Summit (DMS) Awards hosted by the A-Team Group, a leading financial technology publication.
The annual DMS Awards recognize outstanding products and services for data management in the capital markets segment. Shortlisted vendors are selected by A-Team Group’s editorial staff, and voted via a poll of key senior data managers across financial institutions. This year’s shortlist included AIM Software, Asset Control, Bloomberg PolarLake, Eagle Investment Systems, GoldenSource, Markit EDM, SmartCo and Xenomorph. This is RIMES’ third industry award in 2014.
This award recognizes RIMES’ service-based approach in dealing with the task of managing data across buy-side enterprises. With the increasing focus on data governance and data management from regulators and customers, buy-side firms face multiple challenges as data volumes grow, and data and reporting complexity continue to increase. The RIMES Fully Managed Data Service (RIMES MDS) helps them to both maximize the utility of their existing data architecture whilst putting in place the flexibility required to change.
“We’re delighted to win this award,” said Alessandro Ferrari, SVP Global Marketing, RIMES Technologies. “Buy-side firms face many challenges when taking control of their data, and RIMES MDS’ proactive 24/7 service gives them a holistic data view complete with best practice data governance, which can enable a clear, concise and cost effective data management strategy.

RIMES will host the RIMES II Data Governance Conference in London on November 4, 2014.
