May 16, 2018. NEW YORK – RIMES Technologies, the leading provider of managed data and compliance services, has won two prestigious awards for its innovative RegFocus℠ BMR Control solution. On May 4, the service was voted the “Best Benchmark Regulations Vendor Solution” by readers and members of Intelligent Trading Technology and Data Management Review for A-Team Group’s annual RegTech Awards. Additionally, this week RIMES RegFocus℠ BMR Control won “Best Cutting-Edge Solution” at the 2018 FTF News Financial Technology Innovation Awards, which celebrates innovative financial technology solutions for middle- and back-office operations. This is the second year running that RIMES has won in these award categories.
Alessandro Ferrari, EVP Global Marketing at RIMES, commented: “The Benchmark Regulation (BMR) is one of the most pressing challenges facing compliance teams for asset managers, banks and insurance companies. RegFocus℠ BMR helps Benchmark Users rapidly and cost-effectively achieve compliance with the Regulation without disrupting their day-to-day operations. We’re first to market with our BMR solution and are delighted that it’s garnering widespread recognition from the industry.”
In total, RIMES has won three awards so far this year, following on from its success in the overall “Best Market Data Provider” category at the 2018 Fund Technology and WSL Awards in February.
RegFocus℠ BMR helps asset managers, banks and insurance companies comply with the EU’s Benchmarks Regulation, which came into force on January 1, 2018. The product is a simple-to-use Cloud solution that includes a feature-rich inventory management system for users to gain an immediate understanding of the universe of benchmarks used at their firm. The service helps firms address the essential question: am I a Benchmark Administrator, a Contributor or a User, and for which benchmarks? It also includes comprehensive data enrichment capabilities, enabling firms to augment the key attributes of one, or a set of, benchmarks.
